It seems that even though I require that the FAQ page be a prerequisite of making a reservation, some people don't get it. We are not for everyone.
Those of you who enjoy our place, please post online reviews. WHAT OTHER GUESTS ARE SAYING ABOUT DIVE INN GUEST HOUSE:

"Dive Inn is unique - it has a real down-home New Orleans charm.  When people visit New Orleans, they want to experience the flavor of the city's neighborhoods.  They can't get that in sanitized, cookie-cutter, corporate style lodging that looks the same as something they'd find in Los Angeles and New York.   And there's nothing like being able to walk right across the street into the doors of Pascal's Manale's, one of New Orleans' finest old-line restaurants."
-WARREN BELL
Legendary New Orleans broadcast journalist, media consultant, and current co-anchor of The Liberty Network and Louisiana Jukebox.

"One of my favorite places to stay in New Orleans.   In fact, you could say that Dive Inn turns me into an animal!"
-ERIC BURDON
Rock 'n' Roll legend and founder of  War and The Animals, whose hit with "House of the Rising Sun" is one of the most enduring melodies in rock history.

"This place is awesome.  It feels just like old New Orleans."

To our host and hostess
It has been a few months since we went to the Dive Inn. I was looking for something special for my husbands birthday, his 40th of course. That only happens once right. I searched and searched for about a month. Then I stumbled over this place. I checked it out. My hubby is a workaholic so to slow him down was a feat in itself. But I wanted to thank ya'll for the wonderful relaxing weekend we had. I havent seen him that relaxed and carefree in a long time. He thanked me, wonderfully I may add, that I had found such a treasure there. We will return eventually when I can tear him apart from his work again. Thank everyone there for being so very nice and helpful. The decoration there is awesome. Loved it from the get go. Until then, thanks for the wonderful holiday we had. Robin ( and Ronnie)

PS Our friends loved it too.

Hi,

I meant to get around to this earlier... but that's the problem with a
work trip: catch-up at the end!

Anyway, I was sorry not to be able to meet you in person.  Your wife Nora
was very charming, as were the folks I met there.

And I really enjoyed your little getaway!  Very nice - eclectic, clean,
fun!  Nice pool, wonderful to have that "honor system" for beer :). I
really loved the walk down Napoleon Ave to get to the Streetcar - a side
of N'Awlins I suspect most never see!

I take it we are square - please let me know if that's not the case.  I
didn't make any calls, and I loved and obeyed the honor system with the
fridge!

Were it not for the almost free room at that miserable Hyatt, I would have
remained the whole time!  the Hyatt was awful: they didn't get the
rollaway bed in, the sink backed up and they sent a crew to fix at
11freakin45 PM, and it was a ratty place, esp. on the last Sunday! Yuck!

Suffice to say I will heartily suggest Dive Inn to good prospects and
would certainly go out of my way to stay again.  I really liked it.

Thanks,

David Houston

You might be thinking of the Dive Inn - a really cool spot on Dryades near Napoleon (actually right across Dryades from Pascal's Manale).
